Terms, privacy
and refunds
Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll answer in plain words — and fix the wording.
Who you're dealing with
mockbrd is operated by MCXXII Holdings Inc., a Delaware corporation. Reach us at support@mockbrd.com. "We" and "us" mean that company; "you" means whoever holds the account.
What the service is
You upload a screenshot, place it in a device frame, and export an image. That's it. We don't promise the service will be available without interruption, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we'll refund any unused portion of your current month.
Your account
- You need a working email address and a password of at least 8 characters.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
- One account is for one person. Don't share credentials.
- We can suspend or close an account that's being used to break the law, abuse the service, or attack our infrastructure.
Money
- Trial
- 7 days, card up front, nothing charged.
- Then
- $9 per month, in US dollars, until you cancel.
- Refund window
- 14 days from a charge, in full, no argument.
The trial
New accounts get 7 days free. We collect a card up front but charge nothing during the trial. If you cancel before day 7, you're never charged.
The subscription
After the trial it's $9 per month, charged automatically, until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we're required to collect. If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days ahead and it takes effect on your next renewal.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from the Billing link inside the studio, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for — you keep access until then. We don't prorate partial months.
Refunds
If the service doesn't work for you, email support@mockbrd.com within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it in full, no argument. Outside that window we'll look at it case by case. If a payment fails, exports stop until the card is fixed; your account and settings stay put.
Privacy
What we store
- Your email address and a bcrypt hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and your subscription status. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles payment details end to end.
- A log line for each export: device, format, dimensions and timestamp. No image content.
What we don't store
Your screenshots. In the studio, images are composited in your own browser and never leave your computer. When the server renders instead, the upload is held in memory only for as long as the render takes and is never written to disk.
Cookies
One cookie always: the one that keeps you signed in.
Analytics, only if you say yes. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful and which parts of the studio actually get used. On your first visit we ask, and nothing is stored until you accept — decline and no analytics cookie is ever set. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track we treat that as a decline and don't ask.
No advertising trackers and no third-party pixels. Ad features and ad personalization are switched off at the property, not just left unused, and we don't run ads or build audiences for anyone.
What analytics never sees: your email address, and the addresses of the pages you capture. Someone photographing a staging site or an unreleased client page hasn't agreed to tell Google it exists, so we don't. What we do send is anonymous and about the product — which frame, which format, which export size.
Changed your mind? Clearing this site's data in your browser makes us ask again.
Who else touches your data

- Payments and subscription state.

- Password reset emails, when you request one.
- Google Sign-In
- Only if you choose "Continue with Google". Google confirms your email address and gives us an id for your Google account — never your Google password, and nothing else from it. Sign in with an email and password instead and Google is not involved at all.
- Google Analytics
- Anonymous usage statistics, and only with your consent.
- Anthropic
- Answers the questions you type to Robin, our AI assistant. It receives your question and, if you're signed in, your plan and how many captures you've used — never your email address or your screenshots. We don't keep the conversation.
We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, and we won't email you marketing you didn't ask for.
Deleting your account
Email support@mockbrd.com and we'll delete your account and its records within 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records longer where tax law requires it.
Who owns what
Your images are yours. Uploading them gives us no rights beyond processing them so you can export. Exports are yours to use commercially, with no attribution required.
The site, the code and the mockbrd name are ours.
Device frames represent real hardware. Trademarks and trade dress in that hardware belong to their manufacturers, not to us, and nothing here grants you rights in them. If you're using exports in advertising, check that your use is allowed — that's on you, not us.
The boring but necessary part
The service is provided "as is". We don't warrant it'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, and we're not liable for lost profits or indirect damages.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. If we change them materially, we'll email you before the change takes effect.
